Dee Ovenden Robinson has considered writing a book in the past and always figured she didn’t have the talent to write anything that anybody would want to read. Having sat back and watched as both her sisters became published authors she figured it may just be time to have a go at this writing lark herself. Twenty some years as a hairstylist have given her the opportunity to study a host of interesting character traits and personality quirks. So many to choose from; the biggest challenge will be not giving each character too many quirks.
So she has signed up for NaNoWriMo this year, (2014) and started slowly increasing the word count in hopes of making it to 50,000 by the end of November. Assuming she gets that far, it will then be a matter of waiting to see if her volunteer proof readers think the work has any chance of being edited into something worth reading.
So, instead of attacking this daunting challenge Dee has decided to have a day (or three, or four) away from the word processor and start a WorpPress blog instead; because that’s what you do when you’re avoiding doing what you should be doing, isn’t it? Maybe? Just a little?
